Vermont Rules!

Congrats to the state of Vermont on passing a GMO labeling bill today.  It officially became the first state to pass the bill requiring genetically modified food to be labeled without a trigger clause of other states doing so also.  The language of the Vermont bill states that foods made with genetically engineered crops “potentially pose risks to health, safety, agriculture and the environment”, and should be labeled.  The bill also makes it illegal for foods containing GMOs to be described as ‘natural’ or ‘all natural’.  This is a step in the right direction! If you missed my post on 2/9 about foods being labeled as natural, please check it out.  The video is quite a laugh.  Cheers!
