Happy Thanksgiving from veggiejane!  Special shout out to the turkey we adopted this year.  Her name is Tulip, and you can read more about her here.

Our Thanksgiving Tofurky was delicious today.  Veggiedub and I cooked it in the slow cooker for the first time (no fuss) for 5 hours (3.5 on low and 1.5 on high) and were very happy with how it turned out.  We included the package recommended baste of olive oil, soy sauce, and sage. Additionally, we cooked it with fresh organic vegetables including kale, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, and mushrooms.

I also made my Butternut Squash Soup for the Dub Family, and it was well received.  (If you want to check out the recipe, see my post from 10/10).

If you didn’t Tofurky this year, perhaps you’ll consider it next year?

Cheers to the holiday!
